Ip Man 2 was by far the most anticipated film of 2010 for me as the first Ip Man movie had significantly raised my expectation for a sequel. Although I must admit that the sequel lacked strength in the plot, the fight choreography is still of a high caliber.
I will review the three main fights in the film starting with the brawl in the fish market. In my opinion, this fight could have been so much more in terms of showcasing the weapons of the Wing Chun arsenal. Read more »

Term 2 Holiday (revised) |

Term 2 finishes on Friday, 2nd July 2010 at Remuera HQs. The holiday period is two weeks after that, and Term 3 will begin on Sunday, 18 July at Pakuranga. During the holidays, we will conduct 4 special classes on Monday and Friday of each week. So on the 5th, 9th, 12th and 16th of July we will have special training classes. New Avondale class will open soon! (revised) |

Sifu Bruce Cheng and Sifu See Wong will open a new class at Avondale starting on Thursday, 22 July. The address is Avondale College, 205 Rosebank Road (Gate 3 Entrance). Classes will be held on Wednesdays, 7:30pm - 9:00pm. |

New children classes are now opened! |

Good news! We have a new children class at Sunnynook Park Scout Hall on Sunnynook Road, every Thursday,
6:00 - 7:30pm. The instructor is Sifu Nick Bowie and his mobile number is 021-444516 if you are interested.
This class is for children aged 6 to 13 years old.
On a similar note, Sifu Antony George's children class has now been relocated to Waimauku School Hall, 2 Muriwai Road, Waimauku. Sifu Antony George can be contacted on 027-5500700 for further information.

End of Term 1 & Holiday Special Class |

Term 1 for this year will end on Thursday, 1st April. Consecutively, we will conduct a School Holiday Special Training on Friday 9th, Monday 12th and Friday 16th at Remuera branch, 7.00-8.30pm. It is with deep sadness that we announce Sifu Gerard Ngawati passed away at the beginning of March this
year, due to an unforseen circumstance. Sifu Gerard had dedicated the last eight years teaching Wing Chun at
the New Lynn branch. He was a good person, very kind and had helped many people. Read more » |

Due to an unfortunate circumstance, the New Lynn branch is temporarily closed this term. All of Sifu Ngawati's
students and those who used to frequent the New Lynn class are invited by Sifu Bruce Cheng to please train at
Westmere branch for the remaining of this term.
